County Council will be voting on whether or not to award the Hispanic Alliance a $7500 grant to promote the naked statues downtown. Let’s remind council members we live here and want county money to be used for something that benefits our community instead of promoting obscenity as a tourist attraction.

DO YOU WANT TO SPEAK? You can register in-person between 5:30-6pm on the day of the meeting. Let them know you'd like to speak about agenda item 13a (Accommodations Tax Allocation Recommendations).

Also, County Council Member Stan Tzouvelekas let me know he will be presenting a resolution in support of House Bill 3105 at the end of the meeting. He says House Bill 3105 amends state law to provide for religious services to be an essential service during a declared state of emergency.
