Install retractable nets at Isotopes Park

Install retractable nets at Isotopes Park
The Issue
On January 22nd, 2020, KRQE news published THIS story describing safety upgrades coming to Isotopes Park - home of the Albuquerque Isotopes and New Mexico United.
Among those upgrades is the extension of safety netting along the first and third base lines - something mandated by Major League Baseball. This is a smart way to improve safety and protect patrons at baseball games.
It also negatively impacts the soccer experience. New Mexico United fans connect with their favorite players pre-match and after goals are scored. Often, players jump into the stands and hug and high five fans after goals. All of this is part of the atmosphere of a club that has taken New Mexico by storm in it's first season. (Averaging more than 12k fans per match.)
Fortunately, there is an option that works for everyone! Retractable netting is currently in use in Fresno, Memphis, Lakewood, New York and other locations. The City of Albuquerque has said the costs of labor and equipment are "significant," but New Mexico United has offered to cover those costs.
There is no reason not to include retractable netting. This keeps everyone safe, and doesn't take away from the match day experience. Please encourage Mayor Keller and The City of Albuquerque to install retractable netting at Isotopes Park!
