Global Warming is the biggest threat to our climate right now.  It's our obligation to  future generations to leave our planet in a good condition.  We want it to be able to meet the needs of people and animals for generations to come.  One of the biggest threats to our planet is carbon emissions.  By having more convenient charging stations locally, people in our own neighborhood would be more likely to use electric cars.  

I am proposing charging stations by the park behind Rye Arts Center. There are apartment buildings right across from the park.  Apartment owners sometimes don’t have access to their own garages to charge electric cars, so I think it would be a good idea to install charging stations across the street for those people. There is also a park with tennis courts and a playground.  Parents use the field for their child’s soccer and baseball games. Charging can take about 2 hours at times and it woud be more convenient to have charging stations at a place where parents can do other things while they wait. I think this would be very convenient and will encourage people to drive electric vehicles. Having more electric cars will help reduce carbon emissions and help with our global warming crisis.
