Inspect San Carlos City Resorts' Drainage Systems

Inspect San Carlos City Resorts' Drainage Systems
The Issue
According to the Water Code of the Philippines (Amended Implementing Rules and Regulations), "Drainage systems shall be so constructed that their outlets are rivers, lakes, the sea, natural bodies of water, or such other water course as may be approved by the proper government agency."
However, the Sentinel of Nature, have learned that two resorts in San Carlos City, Pangasinan do not have proper drainage systems and are disposing their water waste to public roads and agricultural farms. This results to man-made flooding and destruction of agricultural crops affecting at least 32 families.
We, therefore, request the local government unit of San Carlos City, Pangasinan, headed by the city mayor, to do a regular inspection on the drainage systems of resorts in the city and suspend the permit to operate of those who violate the Water Code of the Philippines.
