We held a memorial outside your condo last night for a young man who should have had the right to shelter. You can't spin your way out of this one. The facts are: 1) there is not enough shelter for homeless people, 2) the city continues to rely on 800+ bed nights per week in the Out of the Cold and that program starts shutting down next month, 3) the two 24 hour overnight drop-in/warming centres are not shelters and they are full, 4) the shelter system has been beyond 90% for years 5) people are dying
