Young, indigenous, homeless man dies.

The purpose of this petition was to show the Mayor and City Council that we need emergency shelters opened. On the very night that the city budget was debated and city council slashed shelter funding, a young man came to an overnight drop-in (warming centre) that was already full to capacity by 6 pm. Three hours later he had died. Please join me Sunday night. The Mayor ignored our petition of 3,100 names. He ignored multi-faith leaders appeal for compassion and more shelter. He ignored Social Planning Toronto and 31 agencies' evidence based appeal. Now, we take the message to Mayor Tory's front door.
