Clean Water for the residents of South River

The Issue

The residents of South River for far to long have had to suffer the lack of basic necessities, such as a clean shower, doing laundry, even brushing their teeth can now be a health hazard. There has been lack of clarity at the issue at hand and if the standards of South River’s water quality is up to par. The community is demanding answers to the water of South River if it contains lead or other substances that can be harmful to the residents health, along with what course of action will be taken to rectify the issue at hand. A change is needed and that change starts with your support in signing this petition to get the Mayor’s attention from the People of South River.

Residents this is what you can do if you have discolored water:

As shared by the DEP,  If you have discolored water from this point forward, you need to call the town.

Specifically you should reach out to Art Londensky of the Borough of South River at 732-257-1999 ext 120.

Please explain the issues you have been experiencing and request that the South River Water Department have someone sample the water in your home when you are experiencing brown water.

Request that South River sample for the following parameters:

Color

pH

Odor

Taste

Chlorine residual

Iron

Manganese

Once this is completed, Notify Jeff Brennan

New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection

Bureau of Water System Engineering

Office (609)-292-2957
