CollegeAvenueIndy.org applauds Hamilton County's prudence in rejecting the Red Line and similar transit shenanigans. CollegeAvenueIndy.org further applauds Councillor Rick McKinney for reminding Hamilton County commissioners that it is the City Council's job to approve the budget (not the commissioner's). CollegeAvenueIndy.org believes the Indianapolis City County Council would be well served to observe Councillor McKinney's sage advice. The Indianapolis City Council seems to have forgotten that council members are the fiscal body of local government; and it's the City Council's job to keep taxes low, use debt sparingly, and prioritize spending based upon the fundamental needs of voters and taxpayers (e.g. infrastructure, police, schools).
