CollegeAvenueIndy.org has learned from an August 31, 2016 article in Mass Transit Magazine that IndyGo is inviting the Indianapolis public to a demonstration of a bus similar to those that will run along the Red, Blue, and Purple rapid transit lines. The 60 foot, battery-powered bus is manufactured by BYD of Shenzhen, China. What! Shenzhen, China? Does IndyGo actually plan to ship your tax dollars off to Shenzhen China to buy 21 of these buses. In the same article, CollegeAvenueIndy.org has also noted that IndyGo has grossly misrepresented facts about the November 8 referendum suggesting that, "Funding for the Blue and Purple rapid transit lines are dependent on passage and enactment of the November 8 transit referendum."
