Apr 26, 2016
This evening (Tuesday 4/26/2016), the Rules & Public Policy Committee of the Indianapolis City County Council will meet at 5:30PM in the Casa Blanca Banquet Hall at 4004 Georgetown Rd in Indianapolis. The Rules and Public Policy Committee will discuss Proposal 145. Proposal 145 will allow IndyGo to place a referendum on the Fall 2016 ballot. The referendum will allow IndyGo to perpetually increase local income tax to subsidize construction of the Red Line. CollegeAvenueIndy.org is opposed to Proposal 145 because the referendum will set the stage for a one-sided media and propaganda battle between grass roots organizations such as CollegeAvenueIndy.org versus well-funded business and special interest groups who seek to profit from the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) that the Red Line will promote. The April 26th hearing is open to the public. Please come and voice your opposition to the Red Line. The time to stand and be heard is now. Click the below link for direction to 4004 Georgetown Rd.
