We, the citizens of Memphis and Shelby County deserve answers and scientific reasoning as to why the SCHD and Mayors have determined that 12ft is required at outdoor sporting events, like Tiger football games, but not indoor gatherings. So far, all we get is “we don’t really have a reason, it’s just an arbitrary number”. You are suffocating the University of Memphis’ athletic department and taking away our right as citizens to make our own informed decisions about our health and safety.
