Petition update

Free Library of Philadelphia Workers
Philadelphia, PA, United States

Mar 17, 2020 —

We are SO HAPPY to let you know that we’ve won our demands! Starting Wednesday, non-essential Free Library workers are no longer required to physically report to closed libraries, and all staff — including temporary, seasonal, and part-time workers — will be getting paid in full for the duration of the crisis. This is really great news!

Thank you to each of you that have raised your voice in support of library workers — in just two days, 4,480 people responded to our call to action for our beloved Free Library community, and for the health of our City as a whole. We are so grateful for the power of community in demanding what is right — the fight isn’t over until all workers and the unemployed are treated with dignity, respect, and economic justice both during and after the COVID-19 Pandemic.

If you’d like to share your contact info with us for future organizing efforts, please fill out the Google Form here.
