Nala is the chosen dog of the week, Our featured local rescue

It is with a heavy heart that I am posting that OCAS will yet again euthanize another dog unless a rescue steps up and pulls Nala. This beauty has been failed by humans and OCAS so many times! Nala will be euthanized Tuesday July 27th @ 6pm unless a rescue and a foster steps ups and helps her. Dane Summers stated that the OCAS flash sale was a huge success with 153 animals adopted over three (3) days. However, OCAS still finds the need to euthanize yet another dog. Please ask Diane Summers and Orange County Leadership why they need to kill Nala?
Meet Nala A470438 (RESCUE ONLY) - This dog is a spayed female. This dog is currently located in WD54. This dog weighs approximately 32.0 lbs.,is 1Y 9M and has tested negative for heartworm disease. This cutie has been at the shelter 5 times since 4/21 due to various behavior concerns. She has 2 minor bites reported, 1 from foster and 1 from the last adopter. Previous adopters have reported she is very protective of them and will growl/lunge when other animals or people approach. We have not observed these behaviors here, she is avoidant and shut down in this environment. Observation notes: "Was able to leash dog out of kennel with no issues. Dog pulled hard on lead to get out of isolation, dog continued to pull on lead outside. Interacted with A475432 (old calm female). No aggression observed, dog kept tense body posture throughout interaction, was able to pet going extremely slow. When restrained dog became even more stiff. Dog is extremely fearful and avoidant of all interaction.
Our petition is still getting more signatures each day. Please continue to share it and re-post it. Meet our featured local rescue - As part of my updates I will feature a local rescue that is stepping up and helping the last change dogs at OCAS.
This week we are featuring ✨⭐️Pittie Party of Central Florida ⭐️✨ Rescues like this depend on the generosity of people like you!
About the rescue * We are a foster based Pit Bull rescue and work all over Florida State. We do not have a kennel facility that houses dogs. We schedule meet and greets with potential fosters and adopters. *Our rescue is funded 100% from community donations. Which means without you we can’t do what we do. In order for us to be successful in saving these precious souls, we need people like you who can donate, share our posts, foster/adopt and get others to do the same. *Most of our work is centered on the euthanasia cases in Central Florida county shelters. *We do not work with fosters or adopters out of state. *We do not do adoption events. Our rescue utilizes social media to advertise our adoptable dogs. Upon approval, we schedule meet and greets with adoption candidates. *We fully fund our fosters with ongoing supplies and expenses. *Adoption is free to approved candidates, but we do ask our adopters to make a donation of their choice, to help our rescue.
