Jeffries is looking for a furever home, feature rescue Pittie Party and help sharing the petition

We have reached over 3 thousand signatures. But we need more. Please continue to share and repost the petition link. https://www.change.org/Rebuild_Orange_County_Animal_Services
While we are making strides to make OCAS a better place we still have a long way to go. I am asking you to continue to contact our County leadership (contact information below) about the following issues.
1. The lack of foster families to help with medically needy animals
2. Transparency in the euthanasia process
3. Why isn’t OCAS allowing UF Maggie Project to do a reassessment of the facility?
4. How can they promote the shelter animals more to get them adopted
5. When will their be a new state-of-the-art facility with a full time trainer / behaviorist and fully functional veterinarian clinic.
6. Why has it taken so long for County leadership to make changes?
7. How can we help provide immediate help to the animals at OCAS?
8. Are the fans at the shelter reducing the heat index with in the shelter
9. It’s rainy season in Florida are they considering the impact the humidity and rain has on the dogs and a reason adopters might not visit the shelter because of bad weather and the heat?
Meet Jeffries (A470408) He has been with OCAS for over two months now. He was originally found by OPD, running loose through the streets of Orlando. The officer took one look at Jeffries, all skin and bones, and knew he had to get him some help. He's been doing better, slowly gaining weight. Jeffries is a favorite among staff and volunteers because of his playful and loving personality. But his time on the streets has left Jeffries fearful of other dogs, and he does not yet trust them or allow them to get close. We may never know what Jeffries has endured in his short lifetime, but to us he is perfect and the perfect adopter will feel that too. As part of my updates I will feature a local rescue that is stepping up and helping the last change dogs at OCAS.
This week we are featuring ✨⭐️Pittie Party of Central Florida ⭐️✨ Rescues like this depend on the generosity of people like you!
About the rescue We are a foster based Pit Bull rescue and work all over Florida State. We do not have a kennel facility that houses dogs. We schedule meet and greets with potential fosters and adopters. Our rescue is funded 100% from community donations. Which means without you we can’t do what we do. In order for us to be successful in saving these precious souls, we need people like you who can donate, share our posts, foster/adopt and get others to do the same. Most of our work is centered on the euthanasia cases in Central Florida county shelters. We do not work with fosters or adopters out of state. We do not do adoption events. Our rescue utilizes social media to advertise our adoptable dogs. Upon approval, we schedule meet and greets with adoption candidates. We fully fund our fosters with ongoing supplies and expenses. Adoption is free to approved candidates, but we do ask our adopters to make a donation of their choice, to help our rescue.
