Darla, Sampson, and Diesel need your help or OCAS will euthanize them

Our petition has 2500 signatures. This is absolutely amazing and I am overwhelmed by all the support this petition gets!
But we still need more to make an impact!!!!!
Please continue to share and re-post. Here’s a link to share:

While most of us working folks love Fridays the animals at Orange County Animal Shelter do not. Friday is the day the Last Chance List comes out with the "Death Row" dogs. Those animals then only have until the next Tuesday at 6pm to be adopted or rescued.
I should not have to be writing these kind of updates!
OCAS needs to change there policies and become a NO KILL shelter with a state of the art facility, a full time behaviorist, and a veterinarian clinic that can handle emergency situations.
Now here is this weeks Death Row:
1. Diesel (A467791) got excited when a volunteer put a leash on him to take him out to the play yard. He jumped up with excitement to grab the leash with his mouth and accidentally got her hand instead. It broke skin and now he is quarantine/solitary confinement for 10 days. The shelter may decide to euthanize him instead of giving him a chance with a rescue.
Please send the Orange County Mayor and Commissioners an email pleading for his life.
2. Darla (A469144) is hoping to find her furever home, and sad that she has not found it yet. Darla has been with OCAS for over two months after arriving as a stray. And as if the stress of being in a shelter as a senior wasn't enough, Darla has the added challenge of having cancer. She has a few tumors throughout her body and will need ongoing veterinary care post-adoption.
At 12 years old, you would think this sweet lady would have slowed down some. But Darla would not agree! She is playful, full of energy, and ready to run. She deserves to live her absolute best life for her remaining time. Click this link to see an amazing video of Darla.
You can see her adoption page here.
Please send the Orange County Mayor and Commissioners a separate email demanding policy change at OCAS.
No more euthanasia and the need for a state of the art shelter!!!
3. Sampson (A471094) is a 2 years young dog. This is his 2nd time at the shelter. He entered the shelter as a stray. During his time at the shelter he has been friendly to staff and volunteers. He can get mouthy and he overstimulates fast. When this occurs he gets jumpy and nippy. Since he is only 2 and been in the shelter twice, it is safe to assume he had zero socialization or training. He needs an adopter or foster with no small children. He is also selective with dogs.
You can see his adoption page here.
Please send the Orange County Mayor and Commissioners a separate email demanding policy change at OCAS.
No more euthanasia and the need for a state of the art shelter!!!
FYI - Ziggy the face of our petition is still at the shelter waiting for a furever home. Her adoption page can be found here.
