In August of 2014, my mother Kathleen was put on a bus to another state through the domestic violence shelter in Tahlequah, Ok.  to get away from her ex boyfriend James Gregory Smith who had assaulted her and threatened to kill her.  On October 9th, 2014 he located her whereabouts in Bozeman, Montana and held her against her will.  Over the last couple months she had been beaten and terrorized, and her childrens lives threatened.  On December 5th, 2014 she was able to call the police and have him arrested.  Today she was notified that they may not be able to get him on kidnapping.  Meaning her life is still in danger. He has active warrants for assault and battery in Cherokee County, he has left state but yet his parole has not been violated.  He was arrested and is still in jail in Montana and Oklahoma still has not violated his parole.  He and his mother kidnapped, tortured, and killed his ex girlfriend in 1982.  Seems as if this pattern is a norm for him, except my mother got lucky and was able to get away.  But for how long? Help put this dangerous man where he belongs!  Protect Oklahoma citizens, from becoming another victim. I, as well as two other of my mothers children and three grand children are in danger of him.  He won't stop until she is either dead or he is in prison for the rest of his life. Revoke his parole and extradite him back to Oklahoma. Domestic violence is a crime that cannot keep continuing to let happen.  This man will continue to harass, stalk, and beat her until she is dead.  A VPO is just a piece of paper to this guy, it will not stop him.
