CORONAVIRUS CRISIS has hit our city of Elizabeth hard and many of our Seniors had died. 

Elizabeth Nursing & Rehabilitation center suffered 24 deaths related to Covid-19 or Coronavirus.

The Nursing center  normally occupied 102 patients but it's now down to 54 Seniors in the facility. 

The center was already known to have problems in management. 

8 staff members tested positive including a Director of nursing and a head Doctor and now operating on a skeleton crew. There is only one RN nurse on duty and unlicensed assistants distributing meds to patients. The entire management of the facility is on a work at home while the small mostly inexperience staff run the already run down building. There are at least currently 12 or more patients test positive for the virus while the one and only hospital Trinatas deny any referral. 

Please help demand a shut down of this Nursing center so the living can live in a better living facility . 

Many of these Seniors are from low income families who don't have the financial resources for top notch care.

The Seniors should not be treated as throw aways but as icons.

Mayor Bollwage and Governor Murphy have an obligation to their human rights.  The right to live with honor and respect.  We know this CORONAVIRUS crisis is overwhelming but to assume that our seniors should die so others can live is criminal.  We urge you all to give our elders a fighting chance to live.
