David McAtee was murdered by a Louisville police officer early morning June 1. 

During a protest, it was claimed that shots were fired at the police, who then returned fire randomly. The National Guard and Louisville police ended up shooting David and killed him. 

David was the owner was the owner of YaYA's BBQ in Louisville and was known as a charitable community pillar.
