There is a lack of safe and appropriate outdoor skating facilities in Columbus. It would benefit the city's and private industries infrastructure to provide skaters an appropriate venue to enjoy their activity without damaging property or endangering themselves or others.  Columbus Parks and Rec can install skate park facilities in existing parks along public transit routes to provide an outlet for these activities.  A location such as Whetstone Park has space, is on mass transit routes, and is near OSU for the benefit of Ohio State students.  It would be appropriate for Ohio State to be a joint partner in this effort.
