Stop City of Salisbury Council wasting $43 Million Ratepayer Dollars on a new "Hub"
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
We oppose the City of Salisbury’s proposal to use ratepayer’s money to build a $43.82 million ‘Community’ Hub to replace the current Council Administration Building, given that; it will only cost approximately $11 million to repair the current building.
We also oppose Council putting up our Council rates 3% last year, this year, and budgeting to do the same next year and the year after to help pay for the new $43 million “Community Hub”, which is essentially a new Council building for the Administration and Council.
We believe that the short consultation period was tokenistic, and did not provide residents with actual information or alternatives.
We oppose Council proceeding with the proposed Hub until we, the electors and ratepayers, are meaningfully informed and made aware of all the alternative options and the costs of each option that the Council has kept confidential for over 2 years and only made public on the 2 August 2017.
