We are being considerate of our drivers/operators.

We are willing to pay the fare of P20-P30 for us workers to reach our workplaces.

We know that the Community Quarantine is taking a toll on all of us. Traveling from our barangay to the central business district takes around 20 minutes by jeepney or by car. If we will walk, it might take us 1 to 1.5 hours to reach our destinations.

Public transportation is very important to our barangay which is considered as a boundary between Baguio City, Tuba, and Itogon, Benguet. Imagine walking around 10 kilometers especially to our residents who need to work to feed their families. Even neighboring barangays like Fort Del Pilar, Loakan Apugan, Loakan Magsaysay, Springhills, Kadaclan are affected. If we are to use taxis, not everyone can afford around P200 fare and it is not practical.

Our jeepney drivers and operators also have their own families to feed. Do you think the P300 subsidy is enough? Paying P20 to P30 is our community's share to help not just the drivers and operators but also ourselves.

Let us be considerate and strive in situations like this. Let us be sensitive to the thoughts, feelings, and circumstances of the people around us. Let us be more compassionate and encouraging. �
