We don't have enough crosswalks, stop signs, lights or cross-guards near and around Wilbur & Theresa Faiss Middle School & Parks! Now one of our students has passed away after being hit on 03/25/2019, after school! This is awful and motorist constantly speeds down Fort Apache, near the school, people fly by with excessive speeds of 65mph + in a 35mph zone! We have NO SCHOOL ZONE ON FORT APACHE. 

FOX NEWS, 2/27/2019 "On Wednesday, a driver hit two teens riding their bikes home from Greenspun Middle School in Henderson. They are okay, but their parents said it could have been avoided."

HENDERSON (FOX5) -- The death of a Faiss Middle School student marked the 13th pedestrian death in the valley this year.

That means the Las Vegas valley is on track with 2017, which was the worst year on record.

WHAT WE WANT AND NEED:

1. STOP SIGNS (preferred FLASHING)

2. CROSSWALKS

3. SIGNS WARNING MOTORIST OF A SCHOOL AND CHILDREN AT PLAY

4. SCHOOL ZONE EXTENDING TO W. ARBY AVE TO W. MAULE AVE, BEING WE HAVE NOTHING, CURRENTLY ON FORT APACHE.

5. CROSSING GUARD AND/OR STRONGER POLICE PRESENCE.
