During 2020 students were taken off campus to finish school remotely due to Covid 19. We are now starting a new school year for 2021-2022 and the Covid 19 delta variant is now causing havoc and filling up local hospitals for people of all ages. We know this variant is more contagious and deadly but Dallas area schools haven't given any other options but to return to campus for class. It is imperative for our kids to have a virtual learning option due to the severity of this strain and with high risk students and parents at home. We need the Texas Education Agency to provide funding for all schools to have a virtual learning option that keeps staff and families from being put at risk of contacting Covid or the Delta variant crippling our hospitals as we speak. This will only get worse as time goes on and allow another mutation of the virus to happen.
