Tomorrow, May 13, at 10am, the LA City Council Homeless and Poverty Committee will convene to discuss, listen to citizens and vote on our councilman John Lee's motion to PULL THE PROP HHH FUNDS FROM THE TOPANGA APARTMENTS PROJECT at 10243 Topanga Canyon Blvd.
This is your opportunity to HAVE YOUR OPINION HEARD on this very controversial subject FOR OUR CHATSWORTH COMMUNITY!

SUGGESTED SPECIFIC COMMENTS
1. Traffic nightmare to the entire west valley during the 2 to 3 year construction period and safety risk to all school children from drivers detouring through adjacent neighborhoods.
2. CD 12 currently doing more than their required part setting the example for the city by housing homeless individuals at 2 facilities and a 3rd already in process at costs substantially less than any slated projects NOT YET STARTED WITH PROP HHH FUNDING.
3. Fire safety hazard posed by construction vehicles operating within a few feet of the Arco station's FUEL VAPOR VENTING SYSTEM!!!.
4. Project early stage planning was "Fast-Tracked" by WAIVING THE CRITICALLY NEEDED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT that would have potentially proved the project non compliant.
