June 22, 2021. We have over 2021 signatures. Today is Election Day in NYC. Dan Cohen, Keith Harris, David Gold and Mark Levine are all on the record supporters of reopening the Metro Theater.

When Friends of the Metro Theater spoke with State Assembly Member Danny O’Donnell last week, O’Donnell said that he is and has been 100% in support of reopening the theater, but we need our City Council person and our Borough President to forward our cause when It comes to asking Landmarks Preservation Commission to enforce maintenance on the Metro.

If you live in Manhattan consider voting for Mark Levine, Dan Cohen, Keith Harris, David Gold and/or others who you know care about revitalizing the neighborhood by rebuilding and reopening Metro Theater.

This Thursday a group of Friends of Metro Theater are going to make an event of delivering the scheduling request to Mayor de Blasio’s office (even if we end up dropping it in the mailbox.)
