It's hard to believe we've only been collecting signatures for three weeks! We've accomplished so much—already approaching 700 signatures—and we still have so much to do. As we approach August, I want to encourage you to aid our petition effort in two specific ways: First, please share and keep sharing the petition with your friends and neighbors. Ours is a grassroots, community-focused initiative. As such we need to gather as much local and community-minded support as possible. Each of us can reach so many more people than any one of us could by ourselves. *Who do you know who hasn't signed our petition . . . yet?* Second, please share and keep sharing our petition with elected officials and local activists. Ours is a grassroots, community-focused initiative. As such we need our local legislators and lobbyists to join our cause.
