This is a quick reminder that the San Mateo City Council will tonight be considering SPI Holdings LLC's request that their new proposal ($8 million for the City in exchange for removing the ice rink requirement at Bridgepointe) be fast tracked. Please feel free to attend this meeting to show your continued interest in getting San Mateo residents skating again and avoiding similar crises in the future. Please keep in mind that the meeting will not consider the merits of SPI's new offer and thus will not consider comments on this subject. Rather, the decision will be whether to consider SPI's new request on an accelerated timetable, instead of waiting a full year after their previous submission. The meeting will be at San Mateo City Hall tonight at 7p at 330 W 20th Ave. The rink will be considered second during the Old Business section of the agenda.
