Hello, The San Mateo Daily Journal has a front page article today regarding SPI's new offer. We need you to make a comment on the Daily Journal's website with your thoughts on the new proposal. While SPI's offer is a step in the right direction, there are still several issues that need to be addressed before we will have a clear path toward a new ice rink in the area. - Will 100% of the money go toward a new rink or will it be diverted to other City spending? Building an economically viable new rink will cost ~$15 million. - Where will a new rink be built? We need public land or privately donated land to ensure that a new rink can survive in the long term. - How will the additional $7 million be raised? - How long will it take to complete these steps and get us skating again? Will SPI be able to profit from this deal and the forced closure of the current San Mateo rink if any of these steps fail? Please make your comments now and thanks again for your continued support.
