The city of St. Cloud needs a wildlife rehab and nature center and should work with CMWR
Why this petition matters
The city of St. Cloud should partner with Central Minnesota Wildlife Rehabilitation to create a wildlife rehabilitation and nature center at George Freidrich Park so our community has a local place to learn about and care for our native wildlife. The one thing we are lacking here is a place for our school children to go so they can learn about the world around them. A place within the city for them to visit during the summer that they can be safe and continue to grow as they explore nature. We are also in desperate need of a location for the public to bring wild animals in need of care instead of driving to Roseville or Garrison as they have been doing in the past.
Partnering with CMWR to create such a place will foster interest in our natural world for both young and old as well as bring families and classrooms from around the state which will increase tourism to St. Cloud. The best part about it is that children in St. Cloud will have a place to go in town during the summer that will help keep them out of harm's way and it will only be a bus ride from their own homes.
The park isn't used very often and was meant to be used for this reason. Please sign this petition and help CMWR show the city that we all want to see this happen!
Thank you for your support.
