Miami-Dade Parks & Open Spaces department is currently making recommendations for the budget.  Pickleball must be set up for success and that includes dedicated pickleball courts so the sport can grow.

I am one of your constituents and also a pickleball player.  Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the nation.  Our county has the third largest park system in the US and yet, we have no dedicated pickleball courts, even though there is a massive demand for pickleball courts in Miami Dade County.  


Communities around the State have seen the positive economic impact of the sport.  They have also seen the physical impact of providing a healthy exercise outlet for our youth and adults.  It's an inclusive sport needing very little real estate. Four pickleball courts can be constructed on the size of one tennis court. 

We have a community of Pickleball Ambassadors ready and willing to help our parks and recreation department make this sport a win-win for all. I urge you to please lead the charge in building dedicated pickleball courts in Miami-Dade County.
