Sign this petition to let the City of Kingston know that you do not support the Kingston (YGK) Airport Expansion. 

Why is the expansion is a bad idea:

-The business case report states that the expansion would not generate enough revenue to pay for the expansion;

-Airlines have not expressed interest to provide service to/from Kingston;

-The airport is situated between residential properties and protected conservation land;

-The City and their hired consultants have provided insufficient evidence related to the impact upon the environment (including plants and wildlife);

-The City has broken the expansion down into phases/parts in an attempt to confuse tax payers (e.g. runway, terminal and vacant land use);

-The City is dismissing taxpayer concerns related to noise and air quality;

-The City has provided no evidence that the expansion is needed or will directly link to economic growth.  In fact, quite the opposite, major employers in Kingston (consulted as part of the business case) indicated airport service has little or no impact upon their business; and

-The cost of the Airport expansion will be directly downloaded to taxpayers, as there's been no indication that revenues exist to support this.
