Dear Members, Friends, and Supporters,

Thank you for your patience as we worked through technical issues with our Facebook page. We’re pleased to announce that our hard work is paying off, and we are closer than ever to achieving our goals.

On Saturday, September 7, 2024, we hosted a successful community event made possible by the generous support of our sponsors: Target Columbia Heights, Ward 1 State Board of Education, Columbia Heights Exxon/Mobil, 1D Advisory Neighborhood Commission, Office of the People's Counsel, Ward 1 Councilmember Brianne Nadeau, MPD 4D, and our wonderful neighbors. Thanks to their contributions, we were able to serve over 200 residents with free meals and provide 307 backpacks stuffed with school supplies. In addition to the event's success, our sponsors have pledged an extra $500 gift card for each school, which has already been confirmed. This generous donation will go a long way in supporting local students. We will let you know the date for this presentation so all of you can attend.
