In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, there have been many people advised by the state and their primary health care physicians to quarantine for 14 days.

As the city is getting better, there are still people that are in quarantine and will be quarantined for at least the next few months ahead because of symptoms/illness and straight up safety precautions.

On top of that, with outdoor bar and restaurant seating now allowed, majority of available street parking is being taken up by restaurants trying to keep their businesses open.

While the streets do need to be cleaned, people still need to stay home as per doctors/CDC's advice should they experience any symptoms. A lot of these people have cars. As someone that has gotten a ticket before for not moving my car during quarantine, it's not fair nor is it ethical to do this to a group of people who have been hit the hardest by this virus.

While there is still no cure, and restaurant's main concern is to stay open as well as protect their patrons and staff, I believe that this works both against the tax payers who live here and the restaurant owners alike.

There will be feuds between people trying to park in their neighborhoods and restaurants trying to keep their business open. There are plenty of ways to clean a street without those huge motorized vehicles that just push dirt onto the sidewalk anyway.

Please extend alternate side parking suspension in the 5 boroughs!
