As CoViD19 hits New York, many people are subject to the virus. Many people in NYC have asthma, and Coronavirus will make it hard for them to breath. This isn't good. All the department of education has done is put more nurses in schools. New York City schools tend to be very large and have many people passing eachother. Coronavirus will spread easily this way and can cause serious harm. On top of that, people who live with the elderly can pass it onto them. If you looked at studies and charts like this one,  you would realize that the older generations suffer the most from it. We can't have this. Students need to get time off from school.

If this petition gains recognition and wins, then our students will be healthy and safe. We will be able to continue with our education by using online resources. If we do not win, and the city decides to not close school, dozens, if not hundreds of students will gain symptoms through spread. We need to have healthy and safe schools, and currently New York City Public education is doing the absolute minimum about it.
