Friends:

We all got some great news last Sunday: because of the collective outrage of parents across the City, Mayor de Blasio abruptly reversed course and committed to re-opening 3k-5th grade + D75 on Monday, December 7. This is a major win and I'd like to thank all of you for showing up and helping to make this happen.

But we are not done. Middle schools and high schools are still shut down with no plan for reopening. On Sunday, 12-6, we continue our fight for 6-12. 

Join us at 1pm on Dec 6 at City Hall Park in Manhattan (by the fountain, across from 233 Broadway). Bring your signs, your masks, and you kids. All our welcome but we are especially excited to see middle and high school kids participate and get involved!

Todos recibimos buenas noticias el domingo pasado; a causa de la colectiva demostración por toda la ciudad en contra de cerrar las escuelas en Nueva York, El Mayor de Blasio abruptamente reverso el curso y se comprometió a reabrir 3k-5th grado el lunes 7 de diciembre. Esta es una gran victoria y me gustaría agradecerles a todos ustedes por presentarse y hacer esta victoria posible.

Pero aun no hemos terminado. Escuelas intermedias y superiores siguen cerradas sin planes de reabrir. El domingo 6 de diciembre continuamos nuestra lucha por reabrir 6-12.

Únete a nosotros este 6 de diciembre a la 1pm en City Hall Park en Manhattan (en la fuente, cruzando 233 Broadway) trae tus carteles, tu mascarilla y a tus niños. Todos son bienvenidos, pero estamos emocionados especialmente por ver niños y adolescentes de escuelas intermedias y superiores participando.
