Sarah Grossman was tear-gassed at a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest where the tear gas, unfortunately, caused her to have respiratory failure, leading to her passing. This petition not only advocates for the Columbus police department who tear-gassed protesters to be held responsible for the death of Sarah but that the inhumane use of the chemical weapon is banned. The Ohio State graduate died at the young age of 22. She stood up against police brutality and the corrupt system and her life was taken because of it.

Her autopsy is currently being taken, but it is possible to assume that the chemical weapon largely played a role in her passing. Her family is asking that donations #ForSarah be made to the Rainforest Alliance and Columbus Freedom Fund, two organizations that Grossman supported.
