Many have talked among ourselves and we realized how one of the most iconic and important historical musical events of our lifetime almost never took place. Woodstock 1969 only happened because Bethel Farm owner Max Yasgur embraced the idea and let our youth at the time to thrive. We think Max Yasgur should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Max Yasgur had a lot of opposition over allowing this from the local community especially and he backed the organizers and embraced the crowd throughout the 3 days in Bethel.

We at least think he would deserve an honorary induction or be eligible for the Ahmet Ertugun Award which states " To a non performing industry professional who through their dedicated belief and support of artists and their music have had a major influence on the creative development and growth of rock and roll and music that has impacted youth culture".

The same land today houses the Bethel Woods Museum and music venue which near every day promotes and encourages our music world and next generations. It would be great if he could while many from that generation are still here with us.
