WHAT IF it continues to flood after bridge is removed?  After all Sandy Hook is in a bowl and the next bridge already dams up and backs up. What a terrible mistake and what a backlash there will be.

WHAT IF those down stream are literally washed away. I talked to one resident a few weeks ago and that was exactly what he feared.  The bridge acts as a buffer for them. One of the engineers from the state has said down stream residents will be impacted.

WHY NOT AT LEAST DO  A FLOOD IMPACT STUDY before you tear down a historical bridge?

WHY THE RUSH? Why not get the Corp of Engineers to dredge the creek of all the gravel build up and downed trees?
