Herne Bay Coastal Community Team
Dec 5, 2017
As a direct result of this petition and your support, we have been invited to attend a meeting on Friday 8th December 2017 with Matthew Scott, Kent's Police & Crime Commissioner along with Chief Inspector Mark Weller the District Commander. This is hopefully a first step in looking at ways to reduce the instances of vandalism, criminal damage and anti-social behaviour in Herne Bay. We will be pursuing a three-pronged strategy along the lines of damage to the town's reputation and the negative impact on trade & tourism and the impact on individuals both financial and emotional. Additionally we will talk about the longer term impact on insurance premiums which arise from the reporting of incidents and previous attempts at resolving the issues of anti-social behaviour and why they failed. Thank you for your support and I will de-brief on the outcomes of the meeting in due course - these outcomes will be posted on the Herne Bay Chatter Facebook Group and the website hernebaychatter.co.uk.
