i am having a meeting with local Councillors on the 19th of March after a brief discussion with one of them regarding my petition. I will report developments thereafter. In the meantime I am attaching a link to an article in a daily paper regarding the problems faced by a District Nurse who was dismissed for objecting to the fact that pill checks for patients were added to her workload. My point being, as I have mentioned before, that GPs, Pharmacists and other health professionals don't have the time to carry out such in depth checks. Therefore it is important that the public be given the tools, via a public campaign, to make informed and mindful decisions about their medication. In the meantime I would be grateful if you would all keep sharing and discussing this issue whenever and wherever the opportunity arises.
