From the responses to Jaycee Chilton's post regarding her views on the waste of medication these three facts (amongst others) have emerged : (1) Holland sends their unused, in date medication to third world countries (2) many Veterinary practices will gladly accept items like unused syringes, dressings etc - especially charities (3) there is a web site for charities that accept unused, in date medication.  Surely these options are worth exploring before simply incinerating medication handed back to Pharmacies. The number of people signing this petition is growing slowly but due to some issues not everyone who signed has been registered.
