Ever since my freshman year we've been able to wear slides at Benjamin H. Hardaway High School. When we don't feel like dressing up for school, we can easily put on some slides and learn comfortably. Many of us have multiple pairs of slides that we feel are appropriate for school. We spend money on these slides. To take away an important part of many of our wardrobe seems unfair. Wearing slides is important for the social environment at Hardaway. To wear torn shoes or hand me down shoes is like having a target on your back. Slides are a cheap escape from this predicament. And they're comfortable! Class of '19 Senior Year is supposed to be full of new experiences and fun memories. Now, it seems as though it's full of new rules and restrictions. Please sign this petition to help unban slides at our school. The students of Hardaway High School would be very appreciative.
