Over the summer, there are many festivals or Sagres (one example: Tresigallo del Sagra Somarino) that celebrate the eating of donkeys and/or mules. These are sentient beings, highly intelligent who over the centuries including both World Wars have served mankind very well. Please Italy join the year 2019 and stop these events or at the very least, change their form by celebrating these humble beings in the appropriate way. They deserve our respect and thanks. Show it.
