Extend the current 2014 Red Line Club (RLC) memberships through to the end of the 2015 RLC membership year at no cost to members.

Extend the current 2014 Red Line Club (RLC) memberships through to the end of the 2015 RLC membership year at no cost to members.
The Issue
Mattel has made changes to their production facilities which has caused significant delays in the sale and delivery of 2014 RLC offerings, club cars and more. As a result, Mattel annouced on June 30, 2014 that 2014 RLC items will start being made available towards the end of 2014. They also announced that they will be extending memberships that were current on June 29, 2014 through June of 2015. "In other words, you get about six months of membership at no additional cost" (Mattel)
The 2015 club membership is now due to start summer of 2015 and run for 12-months through summer of 2016.
In reality, they have taken the 2014 RLC membership which was originally a 12-month membership (January 2014 - December 2014), and reduced it to a 6-month membership (end of 2014 through June, 2015).
Mattels public relations department did a very good job trying to spin this into a win-win for the member, when in fact everyone is being short changed!
To put this in perspective, Mattel sold approximately 2000 Chrome level memberships for the 2014 club year. At a individual cost of $100.00 that equals $200,000.00 in sales. They have sold or made available an additional 15,000 classic level memberships for the 2014 club year at a cost of $24.99 each. That adds another $374,850.00 in membership sales that have or would be paid. In all, more than half a million dollars has been spent by consumers for the privileage of belonging to the RLC club and it's associated rewards for the 12-month period.
Mattel needs to clean house, resolve the problems they have been having and treat their loyal customers fairly and extend the current 2014 Red Line Club (RLC) memberships through to the end of the 2015 RLC membership year at no cost to members.
By signing this petition and getting it to the executives of Mattel, you will show them the true power the paying customer really has to make a difference!
