The Government has been making false promises to put a limit on care home fees since 2011. Last election, the Government promised in its manifesto to their people that they would introduce a cap. This still has not happened.

Elderly home owners are having to sell their homes to pay for their Care Home Fees. They have worked hard all their lives to provide a home for their children and have already paid tax on their earnings.

If they had sold their home years before or had never worked then their Care Home Fees would be paid by the government.

So what it amounts to, is that there is absolutely no point putting all your money into buying a home because it is actually a council house at the end of life.

I would like the government to change this immediately as they promised in 2011.
