Recently it’s been confirmed that Apu won’t be getting dropped after all, for the love of how iconic he’s been over and years and how he should remain as long as Hank Azaria’s part of the cast. Matt Groening himself mentioned how much the show’s creators themselves love Apu, and it turned out that Al Jean had actually previously dismissed the fact of Apu being removed in the same way as his Wife following Jan Hooks’ death.
