Board of Local Health Network confirms need for Maternity Ward Upgrade in its Clinical Service Plan

The need for a maternity ward upgrade at Murray Bridge Hospital is included in the recently released Clinical Services Plan 2025-2035 for the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN). 

As the Independent Candidate for Hammond in the upcoming State Election, I will be calling on the State Labor Government to allocate the necessary funds for this upgrade to occur, along with funding to implement the plan’s other priorities. 

Importantly, when will the masterplan for the Murray Bridge Hospital (MBSMH) be made public?

The Clinical Services Plan makes clear that we have significant health challenges and needs that need to be funded in both Murray Bridge and Mannum which are in the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (Strathalbyn is within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network).
