Together, let’s call on the State Government for a major upgrade to the maternity ward at Murray Bridge Hospital to provide mothers with private bathrooms, modern facilities and the best care, delivered locally in our community.

An upgrade to the hospital itself is also required.  Where is the planning for a new hospital for Murray Bridge - will it be on the existing or a new site?

An upgrade is long-overdue with expecting Mums’ required to share bathrooms.  

Minor upgrades to the ward took place about 20 years ago but are now outdated.

We are just one of a number of growing regions in SA. Investment in our Maternity Ward won’t just happen as we are competing with Statewide needs.

Inexplicably, the State Liberals have never come out in support of the new $400M hospital in Mount Barker, nor the new ambulance station, and we’re all aware of the rapid growth in that community.

Many couples are expected to take advantage of affordable housing offerings in Murray Bridge and proximity to the River as a lifestyle choice.

The housing boom will lead to a baby boom. 

Families need fit-for-purpose facilities in Murray Bridge without needing to travel to Mount Barker or Adelaide.
