It is no secret that Mater Lakes Academy houses a large population of LGBTQ+ students who are faced with constant hostility everyday by students, teachers and administration alike. We as a student body do not feel that there is a safe space for us at Mater Lakes Academy. This battle has been on going for many years with little to no progress. Steps have been taken, it is now time to take a leap. Help us as we try to convince our administration that a "Gay Straight Alliance" is necessary. Together, we can make this happen.
