  In light of recent public events surrounding Massage Therapists and Unethical Practices, we urge each of these organizations to stand unified!!

We  CALL TO ACTION:

The public awareness of the inexcusable behavior of Deshaun Watson needs to be the launch pad for the AMTA/ABMP/NCBTMB/FSMTB and the 49 state licensing boards across the US!

 

We BEG these leadership organizations for the massage therapy community to impliment a unified PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN about massage therapy as a health profession.

 

We are ANGRY, FRUSTRATED, DISAPPOINTED, AND APPALLED by the lack of positive public awareness from these organizations. 

While it feels like the NFL should take more action, and it is likely that internal action is in place to prevent this from happening again, Watson acted as an individual..not a member of the NFL! 

 

These organizations are MILLION DOLLAR companies and Massage Therapists pay fees for protective insurance, certifications, and support! The Massage Therapy Community deserves an answer for these vague and simplied comments on the matter! 

 

Massage Therapists are exhausted from having to Professionally defend ourselves against sexual acts in our treatment rooms. 

 

Frankly, there is NO EXCUSE as to why these organizations cannot become unified in the effort to strike while the topic has national attention and STAND UNITED for a campaign regarding Professional Massage and invoke a positive light on Therapists as a whole.

 

We TRUST these organizations to use our funds for these purposes and if there has EVER been a time for us to be supported and represented, it's NOW! 

Set your competition aside, set aside your pride, and destroy your eagerness to be considered the "top" organization by DOING WHAT WE ARE PAYING YOU FEES TO DO------Support us! 

 

By signing this petition, I am respectfully requesting that these organizations join together and create a Public Platform to DEFEND our Integrity as Massage Therapists against sex crimes and ignorant believes amongst the general Public!
